Sleep Problems

insomnia1Insomnia is the disturbance of a normal sleep pattern. which gives an individual time to rest and build up their strength. Insomnia can leave people feeling drained and exhausted, resulting in poor performance at work, lack of concentration and irritability. Insomnia and sleep problems tend to start in isolation but can soon develop into bad habits.

Over a period of time of no sleep the sufferer starts to believe they can never sleep. They then naturally fear the night time, laying there for hours unable to sleep. This fear then causes them more anxiety and more stress making it hard for them to get to sleep easily. Sometimes, even when the initial problem has passed, the sufferer can still suffer from the belief and fear that they cannot sleep, therefore making the insomnia continue.

  • Difficulty in getting to sleep
  • Waking repeatedly during the night
  • Not feeling refreshed after sleep
  • Tired and Irritable
  • Difficulty in concentrating
  • Headaches

There are a number of reasons individuals may suffer from insomnia, including:

  • Disruptions within the sleeping environment, such as noise, light, snoring or a partner’s movement
  • Physical conditions causing pain, discomfort or movement, including arthritis, hot flushes, restless leg syndrome and headaches.
  • Loss or worry, such as bereavement, work worries, anxiety about not being able to sleep and relationship problems
  • Mental health problems such as depression or anxiety
  • Alcohol, caffeine, antidepressants and other medicines
  • A big change such as a house move or starting a  new job

Bedwetting hypnosis therapy is a great way to address enuresis (bedwetting). In most cases, it is an issue of the mind that can be resolved.

How does the mind have power like this over the body? Remember that every thought has a physical reaction in the body. For example, what changes do you feel in your body when you are afraid? Do you feel it in your stomach? Does your heart race? Do you experience a rush of adrenaline?

When we have a thought, it has a reaction in the body. Enuresis is very similar. There is a thought that is triggering this body condition. In hypnotherapy, we can slow down the thought patterns and isolate the thought that is causing it.

Then it is just a matter of changing the thought to a new one that is better and healthier. It really is as simple as making a new choice with the help of the hypnotherapist.

Sure, there are some cases where people lose bodily control as they age. Bedwetting can be a result of that loss of control. However, this is certainly not the case with teenage bedwetting or bedwetting in adults.

Through bedwetting hypnosis therapy, you can get the bed wetting help that you are looking for. You do not need to continue to live with this condition that is making you embarrassed or is causing you self-esteem issues.

What are the thoughts that trigger enuresis? Again, this is not true 100% of the time but author Louise Hay attributes it to “a fear of the parent, usually the father.” Which really makes sense if you think about it.

We have a saying in society that goes something like this: “I was so scared I almost wet my pants.” This behaviour is just someone acting out the thought and they usually do it for attention.

If they fear their parents and they do not get the attention they feel they need, they may do this so that the parents pay attention to them. Although it does not make sense that someone would do something negative to attract attention, we see this kind of behaviour through all of society.

It is my opinion that enuresis can be linked to some sort of stress whether it was the parents or some other form of stimulation. That is why I feel that bedwetting hypnosis therapy is such a great, natural way to address it. This is another case of where you can completely change your results simply by changing the thoughts in your head.
