Can I be hypnotised?
One of the most common questions I get asked is, can I be hypnotised? The answer is yes! Anyone can be hypnotised, if they want to be.
Hypnosis is a very natural state to be in. In fact, we experience this natural state every day. It's that dream like state, the feeling you get when you are reading a good book, drawing, or even watching a good film. If you do not want to be hypnothised, you won't be, as you are in control at all times.
Is hypnotherapy safe?
Absolutely! You remain relaxed and in control throughout. You are simply being guided into a relaxing and natural state. Some people fall asleep whilst others hear every word I say. You are able to open your eyes at any time during hypnosis, but you will find that because you are so relaxed, you just keep them comfortably closed throughout.
Does hypnotherapy work?
Yes, hypnotherapy can be extremely successful in helping a person to make the changes they want to see in their lives. However, it does takes work and committment from the client too. Most people do notice changes after the first session, although this cannot be guaranteed. Hypnotherapy can really help with most things.
What does hypnotherapy feel like?
It is a very relaxing and pleasant experience. Most clients describe it as a complete relaxation of mind and body.
How many sessions will I need?
For most issues my clients are happy with the results after around six sessions. This depends on the individual and how deep rooted the issue is. The number of sessions can be agreed by the client and myself together, or therapy can be completed when you feel ready, and have achieved the results you wanted.
How do sessions work?
The first session is talking through the issue and trying to get to the root cause of the problem. Each session is tailored especially for you. After that, I will explain how hypnosis works and what to expect during and inbetween sessions. Then I will start the work through hypnosis. It is a very relaxing experience, and clients feel very calm and relaxed after hypnosis.
In the second session, we will talk about any changes and progress and then go onto the hypnosis. The hypnosis will be recorded so that you can listen to the recording inbetween sessions.
